TUIT Report

The TUIT was indeed touring the golf course with Doug Foss — as predicted. As a result, the following AMBUCS were fined for not asking while playing the “gentlemans” game: Bob B., Al S., and Jay P. Tom H. was fined because Jill F. talked to Virginia; and she didnt ask. Rick M. was fined because he missed church and didnt ask. Rod F. was also fined for not asking. Dave S. was fined for being a new grandpa.

Brenda Janda is now the holder of the TUIT;

and it is touring the senior circuit.

Fines

D.B. Society Jeff B., Bob B., Stan M. and Chuck P. Bob B. for calling the Sgt. “Skippy.” Preston C. for ruining T-shirts consecutively. Steve-O for locking himself AND his family out of the car. John K. for duplicate programs.

Bald Mans revenge on the following: Stan, Steve H., Dan P., Doug F., Dave S., Jay P. and Marion (not Mark) M.

Program:

Brenda Janda introduced our multi-talented AMBUC, Chuck Peterson, as the speaker.

Ultra sound technology was the featured topic. Chuck uses what looks like a radar gun to locate bad bearings, over-greased bearings and leaking oxygen or argon in plant facilities. The ultra sound equipment detects frequencies above 20,000 MHz. (Yes, that is a great deal higher than a dog whistle!) Problem areas are tagged for repairs; and Chuck returns to confirm the elimination of the source.

Since oxygen costs $.20 per 1,000 cubic feet and argon $22.80 per 1,000 cubic feet, monetary losses can accumulate quickly. By identifying and resolving leaks and improperly functioning equipment, companies can avoid down time for the facility as well as lost wages, wasted supplies and unnecessary purchases of new equipment.

Chuck will be a featured speaker at the upcoming World Ultra Sound Conference.

Club Announcements

Spring Roundup: Bring a guest to breakfast! Preston Clark did and now we have two new members in Marion Miller and Nathan Meyer! Remember the breakfast is provided courtesy of the club; and you earn credits toward AMBUC sportswear at Mainstreet Menswear. Marion and Nathan were sworn in as new members by President Jo Ann Williams; and Doc Powers earned his Big Hat!

Program Committee Chair Needs Help

Please contact John Knipp about anyone who may be a potential speaker.

Also, if you wish to serve on the committee, please contact John.

John has stepped up and taken on this responsibility as an “emergency” appointee, and is very much in a transition faze. He deserves all the help we can give him.
