About Us

Our Mission:

Inspiring people to conquer challenges related to mobility and independence, through a nationwide network of volunteer chapters, working in partnership with physical, occupational and speech therapists; by providing Amtryke adaptive trykes, scholarships for therapists and many forms of community service.

  • Performing community service
  • Providing AmTryke therapeutic tricycles at no charge to children with disabilities
  • Providing scholarships for therapists

The members meet every Friday morning at 7AM at Downtown Sampler in Hutchinson, Kansas. The meeting lasts about one hour which includes breakfast, Club business, and a short education program on local issues and topics. All meetings are open to guests interested in learning more about the Hutchinson Chapter of AMBUCS.

Our club has a single fund raiser, the Sweet Shop at the Kansas State Fair. We work hard for ten days which funds our outreach programs. Funds raised by the Club are used primarily to give AmTrykes to persons with severe physical handicaps. AmTrykes are a specially designed tricycle which provides persons with disabilities the gift of mobility.

The Club also performs limited community service projects as approved by the Club by assisting local non-profits as requested and approved by the members.

Membership:

Members are young adults to senior citizens, women and men, from a variety of business backgrounds and education.
