SGT. REPORT:  Sgt. Troy fined Fred for taking his badge home. Everyone at Steve Beer’s table was fined for not wearing a red shirt.  Everyone was fined at this editor’s table for sitting with him. Rich S. was fined for being ditched by his guest and talking.  Paul H. bought a fine for thanking Darren, Dwight and Ward for their hard work on the Sweet Shop. Then, the group reciprocated by thanking Paul H. for his hard work on the Sweet Shop.  Steve Beer bought a fine for announcing the success of the Hutchinson Fire Department school supply drive for this year.

ICE CREAM DELIVERY DAY-SEPTEMBER 2, 2018 at 11:00 A.M.  Darren Wicks circulated a sign-up sheet for delivering ice cream from Braum’s to the Sweet Shop.  If you are available at this time, please notify Darren W.

BIG HAT FRIDAY: August 31, 2018-7:00 A.M. Hutchinson Town Club.

BREAKFAST AT THE FAIR: Friday, September 7, 2018 at 7:00 A.M. Our meeting on this date will be at the Sweet Shop.  Please attend to receive your gate passes and last minute instructions for the club’s annual (and only) fundraiser.

PROGRAM:  Harley Macklin introduced Tony Finlay, Director of the Hutchinson Recreation Commission (HRC), as our guest speaker. Tony was born on a farm near Syracuse and is a Fort Hays State graduate.  HRC collaborates with other organizations in the community.  Dillon Nature Center recently completed the Butler Cabin, Elmdale Community Center converted to senior social and wellness programming and HRC continues to involve hundreds of youth in multiple athletic activities.
