TUIT REPORT

Monte McConnaughy remains the safekeeper of the TUIT

and may have a special announcement for us at the next meeting.

PROGRAM:

Doug Foss opened the program at the AMBUCS Old Fashioned Ice Cream Booth at the Kansas State Fair. Doug demonstrated the proper serving of the ice cream, the operation of the cash register and the separation of the functions in the sal e of ice cream (dippers, cashiers and drink preparers). Fred Conner completed the program by reviewing the work slots still open and instructing workers on limiting their intake of free ice cream. As of Monday evening, we were still in need of a manager from 3:00 to 11:00 on Saturday, September 17. If you are willing to volunteer, please contact Fred Conner at 727-4730.

Club Announcements

ICE CREAM BOOTH: We want to thank every person for their dedication and hard work at the booth. Members, spouses, TECH employees and former AMBUCS have all contributed their time and effort to make this project a success. The first weekend of the fair was indeed a busy time. Please maintain that same work ethic as we finish the remaining days of the 2005 Kansas State Fair.

RETURN TO HUTCHINSON TOWN CLUB: ON Remember the next meeting, SEPTEMBER 16 AT 7:00 AM, is back at the Town Club.

AMBUC GOLF SCRAMBLE, HIGHLANDS COUNTRY CLUB: OCTOBER 7, 2005: Jeff Brewer announced that prizes for longest drive, closest to the pin, longest putt and the first 3 teams would once again be given. HOWEVER, in an attempt to thwart those who recruit ringers for their team, the following modifications will apply during play: 1. on hole no. 7, any drive on the green qualifies as an automatic ace, 2. on hole no. 8 (a par 5), only irons may be used (no woods, metal or otherwise) and on hole no. 14 (another par 5) every golfer will use a 7-iron from tee to green. Those who wish to sponsor prizes for the scramble should contact Jeff Brewer or Steve Harmon as soon as possible.
