PROGRAM
Linda Schmidt has been the new Reno County Museum director for the past four months. During that time she has mainly been dealing with getting the new Underground Salt Museum ready to open by May 1st with real operating toilets.
The infrastructure necessary for this endeavor 650 underground has proven to be very challenging. Visitors to the underground mine will be treated to a 40-minute tram tour followed by viewing exhibits in the underground museum. Future exhibits will be added as the museum evolves and funds become available. The next Murder in the Mine mystery dinner theatre will be held April 28th with future dinner theatres held in August and October.
Contact the museum for more information at 662-1184. Linda also told us two different versions of the Ben Blanchard and the discovery of salt stories.
