SGT. REPORT:  Sgt. Troy and Deputy Dwight began by fining Kathy for not knowing her guest. Dane was fined for the status report on the shoe collection project.  Then AMBUCS were fined for having an empty chair at their table.

PRESIDENT’S REPORT:

  1. The Board approved a $500.00 club scholarship for Megan Bartley.
  2. The AMBUC AMTRYKE demonstration trailer will be at Third Thursday this month in the parking lot on the east side of the Reno County Museum.

PROGRAM:  Kathy Hanks introduced Michael Garrett, CEO of the Horizons Mental Health Center, as our guest speaker.  The facility began as a coalition between Kingman and Reno County as the Mental Health Institute in 1968.  Soon after, Pratt, Harper and Barber counties joined the operation.  Therapy, orientation and medical are included with the assorted mental health services provided by Horizons.  The center employs 200 people and serves over 6500 patients per year.  This year will be the 50thanniversary of the founding of Horizons Mental Health Center.

LUCKY ACES DRAWING:  Jeff  ROBerson-did not draw the Ace of spades-$5.00.  The cumulative pot is now over $1000.00 with only FIVE cards left!
