FINES Scott Potucek with help from Ward Davis levied this weeks fines. The Edward Jones boys; Jay Pitzer, Dan and Dane Power and Darren Wicks were fined for radio advertising without an AMBUC tagline. Preston Clark for a nice yellow page ad but no mention of AMBUCS. A clearer picture with your pin might have saved you. Jeff Brewer in the Wichita Eagle with no mention of AMBUCS. They even catch you out of town. Rick Mitchell on TV with no mention. Bob Bush was thanked for the proclamation and fined for not mentioning AMBUVS on his many bill boards. Fred Conner displayed his hot rod at the Big Boys Toy Show but no mention either. Did they miss any communication mediums?
Eric Steinle was late, paid a fee to announce the sign-up to work for the NJCAA Tournament and then promptly left. Those who had not yet signed up to work also paid a dollar. Please sign up NOW!!
Scott Potucek is also soliciting members to work a casino night fundraiser for New Beginnings that will be held April 4th, 6:30-10 PM at the Town club. If you can help with this see Scott.
TUIT REPORT Randy Hendrickson reported that Doyle Ehling, Scott Potucek, Terry Brigman, Tim Davies (who gave it to him) and this editor who originally reported it as Henderson and they found out who had it the hard way, all forgot to ask at some point during the week. Randy gave it to Reta Jo Campbell.
PROGRAM Our own Dennis Reiser informed the club about the newest t-shirt project opportunity that the club has been asked to do. The NJCAA Divison 1 Mens & Womens Track and Field Championships that will be held this summer in Hutchinson and will be held every other year in here with a three year or longer commitment was discussed. This year it will be held May 21, 22 and 23. The Thursday, Friday and Saturday of Labor Day weekend. There will be just one Annual t-shirt transfer design plus a few generic designs. No individual team transfers will be made. The number of shifts and length of shifts is yet to be determined. Profits will be split 60% AMBUCS / 40% HCC after expenses. You were all e-mailed about this event. Following the discussion a vote was held and an overwhelming majority approved the project.
50/50 Drawing Vern Powers won $30.
NEWSLETTER Drawing Was not held because the President could not find the chips. A fineable offense. The answer to last weeks question was Hickory Gables Restaurant. This weeks question is Where was the dinner held when the club was first chartered?
