The Financial Separation Sergeants Dennis and Troy assessed fines on Jeff Brewer for 30 years as an Ambuc, who knows how much that should cost. Craig Johnson paid for a marching band of which there is no additional information. Nevertheless the

coup d’etat was everyone went through the breakfast line before the sergeants. $$$ After that they got out of Dodge, so to speak, ending their session in ten minutes.

Doug Foss announced for the Community Service Committee that a special type of Helmut has been ordered for an one year old child in foster care.

Jay Pitzer reminds the dealers of the casino night for Midwest Ford on December 13th Saturday night at the Atrium. The trailer is already loaded with the casino equipment so we need to meet at 7:00pm at the Atrium to set up the casino games.

Program: Jason Ball president of the Hutchinson Chamber of Commerce addressed the club with a report on business activities and updates. He noted the Hutchinson Mall has a new owner proposing a coop arrangement of ten businesses to be located in the Mall. His main report concerned the Mervis Company planning to locate in Hutchinson a rail-car renovation plant. Mervis is moving quickly and investing $35 million project in Hutchinson that will over time create 150 jobs, and the potential of 485 indirect jobs locally in the community. The main industry will renovate and repair tank cars in order to recycle them back into operation, and in the future grain hoppers.

Happy Thanksgiving 2014. The club will not meet on Friday 28th. The next meeting will be Friday December 5, 2014

Todays guests, Terry Bisbee second time guest, Reta Joy Campbell

The Financial Separation Sergeants reacted when Colby said Reta Joy has no excuse to avoid a fine. President Jeff learned that being grumpy has a price. Jeff Brewer had no thank you notes, but it is unknown what law he broke. Paul Hardenburger paid for an article in the newspaper. Carol Carr was late. Thad Bartley forgot to sit next to Colby. Duke tried to make his Dish Washer work by doing everything except to push the on button. Then Doug, Larry, and John now know that smiling is taxable, good grief. Well, that is most of the story and the sergeants rang the bell to signal the end of their duty. And the crowd applauded.

President Jeff conducted the installation of new member Scott Cooley. Be sure to introduce yourself to Scott and welcome him into the club.

Jeff Brewer won the Lucky Aces pot a week or two ago and decided to apply his winnings to the Sweet Shop account. Congratulations Jeff!

The 2014 AMBUCS CLASSIC on November 21, 2014 at the Hutchinson Sports Arena was a great success. Thanks go to Randal for organizing this event, and also to President Jeff for addressing the crowd during half-time. Other Ambucs assisted with the presentation of a new Amtryke to Brylee Starks, 3 years old, who took a ride on her new AmTryke. Awesome! And thanks to Kathy Hanks for her report in the Hutchinson News. http://www.hutchnews.com/news/local_state_news/a-bike-for-brylee/article_5fa2792b-9cd7-525b-8e19-5ad776770838.html

Jay Pitzer reminds the dealers of the next casino night for Midwest Ford on December 13th Saturday night.

Ambucs Christmas Dinner is on the calendar for Wednesday evening December 17th at The Town Club and the Hutch High Chorus will provide entertainment.

Sweet Shop report and analysis was presented by Paul Hardenburger. To make the data interesting he utilized the format of the Jeopardy game

1. Waffle Cones served, 7,225

2. Tea sales not so great and a discussion took place to lower the price next year.

3. Find another vendor for bottled water.

4. Dish sundries and Root Beer Floats were good sellers.

5. Bon Pops and Fudge produced some sales.

6. However 90 brownies were sold.

7. After cost of sales and expenses the net was $18,000.

8. 281 tubs of ice cream were sold.

9. Some flavors cost more than others which gives cause to consider some options.

10. Consistency of servings needs attention concerning the size of scoops.

11. A discussion took place on Cold Stone serving.

12. When events occur throughout the year at the Fair we have the ability to open the Sweet Shop with a simple menu.

13. Making waffle cones requires training to produce a uniform product.

14. After many years we have data on sales of Sweet Shop products. Very useful in making decisions.

Thanks to Paul for his leadership and inspiration.

Lucky Ace drawing, Tom Hymer drew a card and won $5.

Newsletter drawing, for the meeting of December 5th win $35 if you know the first name of the Amtryke recipient at the Ambucs Classic Hutchinson Sports Arena.

When a guest refills coffee cups, should every one be fined.

Todays guests, Pastor Lynn Taylor Park Place Christian Church, and Buck Lyle todays program presenter.

The Financial Separation Sergeants collected from Tom, Dorinda, and Doug for conducting another board meeting within an existing board meeting. In the category of seating arrangements Troy managed to sit at the table with three ladies. Then the bankers were identified as able to pay their fines, and Duke paid for not scheduling a Big Hat meeting. Well, there were others who were fined, but so far this seems like an adequate report.

President Jeff that an Amtryke has been approved and is on order. Don Grossardt reported that our Sweet Shop generated a good profit to fund our out reach programs after cost of sales, taxes, and expenses.

A Visibility Opportunity is being organized by Randall Haltom to increase the awareness of our club. The plan for the club is to conduct an Amtryke donation at half-time on November 21st and 22nd Blue Dragon basketball games at the Hutchinson Sports Arena. This should create awareness of our outreach for kids with disabilities. Other ideas for this event include some therapists who have provided care for the kids with disabilities and some banners to display during half time. The east side of the Sports Arena will be reserved for Ambucs. Call Randall at 620-899-5500 with questions and if you will help with this event.

Casino Event, November 25th at the Atrium for the Longfellow Foundation. We have hosted a Casino Night for this group several times and they enjoy and have a lot of fun playing the games. We will need all the dealers to be on hand, sign up sheet is going around, or call Jay Pitzer at 620-728-1141.

About Casino Nights, Jay Pitzer has received a request from Midwest Ford for December 13th Saturday night. In addition Cause for Paws has requested a Casino night on January 24th.

Ambucs Christmas Dinner is on the calendar for Wednesday evening December 17th at The Town Club and the Hutch High Chorus will provide entertainment.

Kathy Hanks introduced program speaker Buck Lyle. As teen he played football and his position at quarterback for he could accurately throw a football. He recalled some of his experiences in coming to Hutchinson after serving in the Air Force, law school, and District Judge. He felt that he was a strict judge and judged according to the law. He recalled that one of defendants sought out the judge to tell him that his sentence to prison caused him to reform his life. Over time he volunteered for many organizations.

Lucky Ace drawing, Jeff Brewer drew the Lucky Ace and won the pot of $1534. We say congratulations, however it seems some other words may come to mind. Next meeting we start another session of the Luck Ace drawing.

Newsletter drawing, Jerry Regiers name was drawn but he was absent. For November 21st win $30 if you can name what position Buck Lyle played on the football team.

Apparently the Big Hats had a communication problem because only four of them showed up with their Big Hats, specifically Stan, Brad, Jay, and Duke.

Welcome Guests, Sammy Lane HCC womens soccer coach, Brads friend Sharry, Scott Cooley of Members Mortgage Services, and Andy Oswald.

Financial Separation Sergeants collected from Fred, Tony, Terry, Doyle, Don, Doug, Bob, and others for not wearing their Big Hats. Terry and Dean Brigman presented their experiences with Honor Flights, a program for elderly veterans to visit the memorials in Washington DC. Honor Flights is a way of paying tribute to those who served and gave so much to our Country.
