SGT. REPORT: Sgt. Troy and Deputy Terry Bisbee collected from every member who was not wearing purple in honor of KSU reaching the Elite Eight in the NCAA tournament. President Brewer was fined for starting the meeting late.
ELECTIONS-MARCH 30, 2017: Hutchinson AMBUCS are back on track.
Elections are held in March so training may be attended at the Regional
Convention in April. The slate of officers for the 2018-2019 AMBUC year is as
follows: President-Rod Calhoun, 1 st V.P.-Dane Power, 2 nd V.P.-Rich Shelton,
Secretary-Paul Brown, Treasurer-Don Grossardt, Board Directors-Jeff Roberson and Brad Thompson. Our current Sgt. at Arms is Troy Thode; just in case he is a candidate for next year, his name does appear here.
Prayers: Ward Davis announced that Colby has upcoming surgery; and they will miss a few meetings; as we pray for a speedy recovery.
BIG HAT MEETING-MARCH 30, 2018 AT 7:00 A.M.: Normally, the reminder
for the next meeting is at the end of the newsletter, but we have much going on! First, Kathy Hanks has Rebecca Starkey of Interfaith Housing as our featured speaker! Second, all Big Hatters need to be present, on time and wearing their Big Hats! Third, Don Grossardt e-mailed me; the Lucky Aces Drawing Jackpot is now $890.00 with only eight cards remaining in the deck! Is this the best time to bring a guest or what?
PROGRAM: Megan Bartley gave us an update on her journey to become an
occupational therapist. She is headed to the No. 1 occupational therapist program in the country at Boston University. She is an applicant for the scholarships from the National AMBUC Living Endowment Fund; and the club will sponsor her in those efforts. Dad, Thad Bartley, is doing well and employed by Covenant Transport in Colorado.
