Ambucs Weekly Meeting of Friday October 28, 2016
Todays guest, Wesley Hoyt and program.
Sergeant Jim Knipp was AWOL today. Actually its probably OK being that it gave the program presenter more time for his presentation.
Program: Mr. Wesley Hoyt is the Chief Operating Officer of the Hutchison Regional Healthcare System. Having served in Afghanistan he retired from the armed services.
Hoyt covered a broad number of topics concerning changes and ways of providing health care.
He discussed the need for nurses as there is a shortage of them. More schools for trained nurses are needed to care for patience.
Hoyt spoke about the functions of emergency treatment which includes medical care treatment in the ambulance which provides a head start in the emergency room with information and treatment. Hoyt spoke of the available of services available including, Charmlers Cancer Unit, Hospice House, Horizons serving adjacent communities. Altogether the Regional Hutchinson Regional Healthcare System employs about 1,400 employees.
He took several questions, one of which concerned the Dillon Living Center and future plans for the building, and that at this time there is no plan. www.hutchregional.com
