Sergeants Corner: Brad T and Stan M picked up where they left off last week by collecting the weekly presidential fine from Jeff R. Brad fined Dave S for the first time ever for leaving early last and missing out on winning the newsletter drawing. Colby D fined Jeff B (the sign guy) for being old. Expanding on this theme, Fred C and Terry B were fined for being old farts. Don G paid to announce that Jason is on his way home from his mission trip from India. They finished up with a pin check.
Announcements: Dwight W reported on the status of the Sweet Shoppe project. Virtually everything has been moved from the storage area to the booth. Lots of little jobs need to be finished, so a good group of volunteers is needed for this weekend; no special skills required.
Randle H reported on publicity for the opening of the Sweet Shoppe, using the newspaper and TV coverage. He is contacting Kent Burnett to take some pictures using his drone.
Doug F reported on the 2 amtrykes approved at this mornings board meeting. Presentations will be made in the near future.
Program: Katie Hoss is a therapy student at Maryville University in St Louis, MO. She has completed one year of a 6 year program that upon graduation, she will have a Doctorate degree. She became interested in a career in therapy through Brent Britton of Pinnacle Rehabilitation, who rehabbed her through 2 soccer injuries. The year she applied to Maryville University, 200 applications were received for 61 available slots. She feels she influenced those making the decision by her desire to help others. She has yet to decide what type of therapy in which to specialize, most likely sports or pediatrics. Since she lives in St Louis, which is the location of this years National Convention, we will find a way to help her attend.
Drawings: The Lucky Aces opportunity went to Fred C, who won $5. The total for next Friday will be $802.
