Sergeants Corner:

Brad T and Stan M

levied a membership renewal fine on Jerry Regier. Next they collected the weekly presidential fine from Jeff R. Then they fined every member who did not work at the Sweet Shoppe during the last week. As they were collecting the funds, Brad gave Colby D a chance to pick the next fines. He quickly chose Jay P and his Dad. Then he fined Scott P and included Steve C, Doyle E, and Paul B. Tom H paid to announce that the State Fair sign up sheet was going around.

Announcements:

~Paul H reported on the status of the Sweet Shoppe rebuilding project. Most of the equipment has been moved in and properly placed. Some electrical work remains to be completed. Shelving is being installed. There is still inside work to be completed and we need more volunteers If you have recent photos, please email them to Terry Brigman, who is putting hem together for display is the booth. Work will begin at 8:00 Saturday morning.

~Doug F reported on the Community Affairs committee me, who approved 2 amtrykes to take to the board for approval. The members approved putting the amtrykes on order.

Program:

Brian Davis believes that there is too little communication within the legislature. He is committed to finding a common ground with everyone. He is a graduate of WSU and Boston University with a major in Theology and Ethics. He and his wife traveled extensively, recently returning to Hutchinson to be closer to family

Chris Givins is a 2009 graduate of Hutchinson High School and is attending WSU. He considers himself to be a political moderate. He agrees with Mr. Davis that there is a lack of communication at the legislative level.

Drawings:

The Lucky Aces opportunity went to Jay P, who won $5.00. The new total for next Friday is $769. The newsletter opportunity went to Dave S, who left early. The question for $15 is Which member returned this week after a long period of recovery?
