Guests:Kent Burnett, our guest speaker for today. No other guests were noted

Sergeants Corner:

Standing in for Brad and Stan were Ward and Colby Davis. They started by fining President Jeff for beginning the meeting late, thus saving themselves $2 for being late. Long lost member Tim Davies paid a re-up fine. Tim showed up because Tony Powers reminded him how much fun this group is during an eye exam. Mark T was assessed a Deep Pockets fine for recently selling his business. Paul H offered to pay his fine since Mark has spent his retirement painting the new fair booth. Jeff B paid to purchase one very ugly cap left at the booth. Guy G paid because Deputy Colby felt his yellow shirt did not go with his black pants. Those of us who are WSU fans were duly insulted, but laughed anyway.

Ambuc Sweet Shoppe Report:

The outside painting is complete thanks to Mark T. The inside ceiling is installed and Steve C and Fred C are completing the wiring. The outside lighting is installed and the inside layout has been taped. The scheduled move in date is on target for the week of August 4th. If you havent been by for a week or so, pay a visit and see what volunteer labor can accomplish.

Program:

Kent Burnett spent most of his career as a Commercial Advertising Photographer, a career that all but disappeared with the advent of smart phones and ipads. In an effort to start a new means of support, he purchased his UAV (Unmanned Arial Vehicle) in Feb 2014. He spent the next 4 months training himself how to fly his UVA in high wind conditions and rough tilled ground. He shared with us the film he developed for Kuhn Krause and has high hopes for developing a relationship with them. He has worked with a friend to develop a program for the real estate market. He believes there is potential in law enforcement, fire prevention, and wind turbine inspection and repair. His big concern now is the FAA becoming involved in regulating UVA activities.

Drawings:

The Lucky Aces opportunity went to Jay, who won $5, putting the total for next Friday at $703. Darren W knew to answer to the Newsletter Question, donating the $45 to the fair booth project. The question for next Friday is Who encouraged Tim Davies to attend todays meeting?

Future Meetings:

7/25 Jack Manske and Kristen Garlow Piper will bring up to date on the Wiley Building Project.
