SGT. REPORT: Sgt. Ward Davis and Asst. Sgt. John Knipp assessed the fines this week. John K. paid for being late. Brad T. paid for laughing at John. Bob B. paid for his hands being in the picture in the Hutch News. The Sgts. took one last shot at Jim K. before he leaves and fined him. Dennis R. paid for arriving late at the T-shirt booth. Brenda was fined for guilt by associating with those at her table. Doug and Stan were fined for having their own conversation. Randall was fined for missing Valentines Day by four weeks (a commentary on his fashion sense). Preston was then fined for missing the 4th of July by six months. Mark T. was fined for stumbling in the dark. President Darren was fined for being just that. Since the other stockbrokers were fined, Dane and Jay were allowed to contribute.
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. T-SHIRT BOOTH: We do not have a report on total sales, but Curtis Mitchell thanked the membership for serving during the NJCAA tournament.
2. President Wicks confirmed that Randy Stange, HCC Athletic Director, has asked the Hutchinson AMBUCS to provide T-shirts for the NJCAA Div. I-Mens and Womens Outdoor Track and Field National Championship in Hutchinson at Gowans Stadium. The club approved the project. The track meet is NOT during Memorial Day weekend. The meet is on May 16, 17 and 18, 2013. Be ready to help!
3. Consider serving as an officer or a committee chairperson for the upcoming AMBUC year. Contact incoming President Dane Power for information, or better yet, volunteer!
PROGRAM: Jeff Roberson introduced Sharon Robinson Stokes, Director of Visions of Hope as our program. Visions of Hope is the umbrella organization for the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program and the Citizen Review Board program. CASA volunteers advocate for children involved in child-in-need-of care cases. The Review Board examines files to protect children.
