PROGRAM: Dean Brigman introduced todays program, Denny Stoecklein general manager of the Kansas State Fair. Since the fair there have been 24 events on the Fairgrounds including a motor coach and RV convention. Wedding receptions are the largest non-fair events. Securing grandstand events for the 2012 Fair is already underway with 4 offers in progress. It is estimated that 10% of Fair goers see a grandstand event. In the area there other venues with better facilities that compete for events presenting a challenge to the State Fair. The new zip-line ride over Lake Talbot was very popular with over 4,100 people participating. Plans are being made to expand the zip-line for 2012. Another main attraction is the hypnotist Ron Diamond who draws the crowds at each performance. However at one time stage hypnosis was banned in Kansas until it was reversed in 2004. An interesting program which included some laughs and funny lines.

50/50 DRAWING: Eric Steinle won the pot of $18.

NEWSLETTER DRAWING: Randall Haltom could have won $5 but he didnt know the answer to the question. Next weeks question for $10 is: Where on the Fairgrounds was the zip-line located?
