AMBUCS Newsletter August 19, 2011
Guests: Kimbly Reiser, Tonya Hendrickson, Zach Hendrickson, Christie Cox, Linda Cox, Dawson Cox, Alexyia Aden, Chris Aden
Fines: The Sergeants decided to keep it short and sweet this morning. Given that we were giving away two Amtrykes and also had a guest speaker. Jay got fined with a whining tax. Jim Kicklighter was late. Doug gave a dollar in honor the two kids receiving Amtrkyes. Rita suggested a $2 fine for two Amtrykes, but that didnt get much traction. Don Rodgers got fined for not helping to put up banners.
Amtrkyes: It is a banner day for our club when we get to give away an Amtrkye, little lone two. Today was a two Amtryke day. AlexyiaAdenwas shy, but started to feel more comfortable around the group. Dawson Cox also seemed very happy with his Amtrkye too.
Announcements: Cause for Paws is going to have a casino night coming up on September 25th. The Catholic Schools is also going to have us for a Casino Night coming up on October 22nd. Duke reminded us about the upcoming workday on Saturday the 20th. Randall also talked about the upcoming TECH golf tournament.
Program: Randy introduced his son, Zach. Zach talked about his time with Boys State. He was elected to go to Boys Nation as a Kansas Senator. During his time in Washington DC he had the opportunity to meet the President of the United States. He also enumerated several accomplishments while at Boys Nation. If Im allowed to editorialize, this author was very impressed with this young man who has a very bright future ahead of him.
Drawings: Duke won $25 in the 50/50 drawing. Kip Hildebrandt would have won $10 with the newsletter question, but sadly, he wasnt there.
