Welcome Guests: Ron Williams, Hutch Net Wireless, 2nd time guest, invited by Preston Clark; Mary Hemmings, todays program presenter, introduced by Dean Brigman; Larry Cottrell, Real Estate Appraisal, invited by Randall Haltom; Randy Langford, Good Samaritan Administration Training, invited by Brenda Janda.
Regular Sergeants: It appears that Larry Sloan and assistant Doug Foss have advanced from substitutes to regular sergeants joining the ranks of John Knipp and Randy Hendrickson. Dear reader: Can you think of something clever to say about this? Have fun and do not be PC. Speaking of PC, Ward Davis was fined for being an obedient and compliant Ambuc. Randall Haltom paid because his guest arrived before he did. Not so PC Preston Clark must have been acting like himself and was dinged accordingly. The sergeants took a moment to recognize Jim Seitnator for his accomplishments in promoting Downtown Hutchinson. Jim acknowledged that being an Ambuc was key to earning this recognition. Various broad members were fined for being late prompting David Suhler to confess his misleading email. Doug Foss announced that he is now exempt from paying fines because he is a Big Hat, or a big something or other.
Tuit reports: New member Doug Hoffman delivered his Tuit report snagging Duke Wiggins for Tuit welfare negligence. Duke always gets snagged. Then in a demonstration of creativity Doug declared the winner of the 50/50 pot will get the Tuit. See 50/50 pot below.
After an extended absence of 6 weeks Dean Brigman delivered his Tuit report. He cited Doug Foss, Tom Hymer, Brad Thompson, and, and, and, can you guess who, Duke!!! again, all paid for ignoring the Tuit. However Dean had disturbing news, he lost the Tuit. Little did he realize that he suddenly became a hero with cheers and applause all around.

Program: Dean Brigman introduced today’s program presenter Mary Hemmings director of the Fox Theatre. Mary spoke about the tremendous support that the community gives to the Fox. This is especially significant due to the fact that similar venues around the country are experiencing problems and being forced to close. The Fox receives about $8,000 in State and Federal grants, however she emphasized the City of Hutchinson provides zero funds for the Fox despite the perception that it does. Other revenue comes from ticket sales and donations. Besides a great line-up of shows and movies the Fox is available to rent for weddings, conventions, family reunions. The Fox is always searching for events and willing to try new ideas. The Fox provides a quality line-up of family entertainment and is truly a star and a landmark in our city thanks to the leadership of Mary Hemmings. “Turtle Island” is the next show on November 20th starring a Quartet of string musicians playing blue grass, jazz, folk music, and rock. http://www.hutchinsonfox.com/index.shtml
Drawings: Terry Brigman won the 50/50 pot of $29 and as mentioned above also won the Tuit. John Knipp’s name was drawn for the newsletter question, however he was absent today. The newsletter question for the next meeting is: “What is the name of the next show at the Fox Theatre?”
