Hutchinson Chapter of AMBUCS
Editor: Duke Wiggins
Since the August 7th meeting was our Annual Golf Scramble held at the Highlands, I am going to dispense with the normal format. As a group we ate in the 19th Hole and hit the course. Those of us who had to work left after enjoying a great breakfast, fuller, but sadder. The remainder of this newsletter will be devoted to the results of a day of golf (perfect weather) and the fellowship shared by all.
We had a total of 13 guests, all of whom showed up to enjoy the golf. Troy Thode, Ron Simmons, and Mo Penny were guests of Brad Thompson. Dustin Gann, Jeff Pelischek, and Darrel Bachelor were guests of Guy Gann (he brings a first rate band with him). Gene Buxton and Chris Brown were guests of Bill Long. The McConnaughy team included Monte and Luke, with Dad Don and Brother Casey (a real family outing). Randall Haltom brought Steve Weber and Larry Cottrell and Jeff Brewer brought Bob Harris, a former member who regularly makes the golf tournament. Randy Henderson brought Pam Clarke, who has been a guest at several of our regular meetings.
Here are the results of this years Golf Tournament.
The team of Brad Thompson, Troy Thode, Ron Simmons, and Mo Penny placed 1st with a score of 64, 8 under par. They left with $20, a $25 gift certificate from Mainstreet Menswear, and a Bud Light Hat each. They also received 1 dozen PB&T golf balls.
The team of Guy Gann, Dustin Gann, Jeff Pelischek and Darrel Bachelor took 2nd place with a score of 65. They received $20 each, 2 CB&T hats, and 2 PB&T hats.
