PROGRAM:
We had a short presentation from a Head Start representative. Then we bagged candy and boxed gifts for the Head Start program. There are now approximately 275 children served by the Head Start program in Reno County.
Club Announcements
Christmas party: The annual Christmas Party, doubling as our club’s 25th anniversary, was held at the Highlands Country Club, December 16. AMBUCS National President, Leonard Epperson of Ponca City, OK, and his wife joined us for the celebration. Charter members and 20 years-plus members received special recognition.
It was a time of fellowship, food and entertainment for all. Special thanks to Jeff Brewer and Steve Harmon for the work you put in for us.
Casino Night: Jay Pitzer announced that we had a successful Casino night at the Cosmosphere for Alco and raised $1000 for the club. JoAnn expressed thanks to all of those who helped.
Emporia Demo Site: JoAnn presented the second reading on doing a half sponsorship of an AmTryke Demo Site in Emporia. It is jointly sponsored by one of the Salina Clubs.
The proposal was moved, seconded and approved.
