GUESTS

Jason Grosshardt, Don’s son

Kyle Ward, with his parents Cindy and David Ward, guest of Jay Pitzer.

TUIT REPORT

Scott Potucek, found out that the Tuit was in fact a small oval, not a circle – being off by 15 microns.

He went on to do an in-depth dissertation about the Tuit, the definition of the work “round” – including a “round” of beers,

ending with “a round of round, rounds.” It was akin to what the definition of “is,” is. Scott determined that a copy of the

Tuit, or even a FAX of a copy of the Tuit is okay to carry, since the Tuit is so heavy – fits within the rules?? Vicki Fultz

did ask about the Tuit. Scott gave the Tuit to Don Grosshardt.

PROGRAM:

Jay Pitzer introduced Kyle Ward. Kyle received a grant from AMBUCS to help pay for his “Speak Easy” device. He is a student at Buhler High School and is on the Honor Roll, in band, choir, plays soccer and basketball and other activities. Kyle stutters and the Speak Easy device helps him to speak in public without stuttering. It works by providing a small delay of the sound of his voice inside his ear, which keeps him from stuttering. Before he had this aid, he could not speak in public, as he was able to do at our meeting. Speak Easy has given him confidence. He has to listen to the sound in order for it to work and practiced a couple of days when it was new. They can use these for children in grade school. He first saw the device demonstrated on Oprah. The cost was about $5,100.
