TUIT REPORT

Monte McConnaughy was out of town most of the time, first week in Anaheim and the second week in Kansas City. This

week Scott Horton was not in his office when Monte stopped by and his secretary did not ask about the Tuit – the same

with Jeff Frizell. Doug Foss did ask about the tuit, as did Jay Pitzer and Lori Hopp. Monte paid a $5 fine and

passed the Tuit to Doug Foss.

PROGRAM:

Randy Henderson introduced Adella Luna of Spanish Interpreting, Translation and Associated Services. This is a new business, started in April 2004 to fill a great need in Hutchinson. They have an office by Sears in the Mall. They are busy with clients from business, law enforcement and the medical community. They provide translation services to help with such needs as closing on a home, contracts, health and death certificates. They help Spanish speaking clients communicate with lawyers, doctors, insurance representatives and other professionals. They will translate a document from English to Spanish so your business will have information ready for Spanish speaking customers. They will work on site or over the phone. They are available 24/7 for an emergency.

They stressed that Spanish speaking customers are very loyal and will show that loyalty to a business that assists them with any language barriers. They are impartial and can help with a family where they rely on the children, who may have another agenda. They also teach Spanish and their service is Confidential. Over 5% of Reno County residents are Hispanic, as are over 50% of those living in Garden City and Dodge City. They represent an important market for any business in Reno County.
