TUIT REPORT
John Knipp reported that this was the first time in 15 years that he had been given the TUIT. I wonder
how many others can claim that? He had Paul Brown, Steve Conard, Duke Wiggins, Scott Horton
and Rod Fry fined for not asking. John paid extra for not having it with him at a Chamber meeting
and at a meeting at Martindell, Swearer & Shaffer. John passed it on to Jim Kicklighter.
PROGRAM:
Well, Dr. Mike Hagley, a cardiologist with The Hutchinson Clinic was to tell us about preventing heart attacks. Unfortunately he didnt make it to our meeting but Bob Bush had all of us, who ate an unhealthy breakfast and didnt pass up the gravy, fined $1.00 in Mikes honor.
Club Announcements
Second Reading: A second reading and request from the community service committee for an AmTryke for Myra Juan who is suffering seizures following surgery for a brain tumor. $500 towards the purchase of a home stair lift for Gary Bott who is suffering with Lou Gerrigs disease providing the $1,500 balance of the funding can be secured. For two, $250 sponsorships, for two therapy dogs from CARES. A board approved request from T.E.C.H. for $700 to be used to purchase airfare for a trip to Las Vegas which is the grand prize in a Texas Holdem Tournament they will be holding as a fundraiser at McGraws. The tournament will have a limit of 180 seats. Voting followed on all of the requests will all of them passing.
T-shirt Committee: T-shirt Committee is meeting, next Friday at 6:15 AM.
Workday and Training Session: Saturday, February 26th a workday and training session for the NJCAA Tournament T-shirt project will be held in the warehouse behind Central Printing from 9-11 AM. We will be checking and adding the new inventory into stock, folding shirts and training on machine use. Please check the work schedule for the NJCAA tournament to verify your work times. It is your responsibility to find a replacement if you are unable to work as scheduled.
FINES
Sgt. at Arms Bob Bush along with Al Strecker assisting. Bob fined Doyle Ehling for being late to this weeks Big Hat meeting along with Eric Steinle, Terry Brigman, Vicki Fultz, Guy Gann, Bill Long, Jack Mace and Tony Powers who didnt show at all. Jeff Frizell and Ward Davis for missing the board meeting. Vicki Fultz fined for not having a 2nd VP lined up for next year. Scott Horton was fined for being here which means he wasnt in Rome or Bangkok with his other Edward Jones Reps. Bob told Scott that he could have easily hidden in Jays suitcase and he wouldnt have even been noticed. Sharla Meisenheimer fined for being absent lately or was it because were not sure if youre with The Highlands or was it Grand Prairie or was it The Highlands, Im confused. Kent Harris turned the big 60 and we sang. Is there a time limit on paid announcements? Bob ended his routine with another new product announcement for Budweiser Select. Bob auctioned off the as yet unavailable in stores bottle to Jim Kicklighter for $9.00.Jim was hoping the other 5 would go with it for that price. Just a reminder that this is Bobs time and he does a great job raising funds for our club. Will there be other takers at that bid?
