GUESTS
Mark Treaster – Rainbow International
Mary Kaufman – State Representative
Carlotta Ponds – Community Health Coalition Director
TUIT REPORT
Brad Thompson assessed failure to ask fines on Rod Fry and Don Grossardt. Then Brad abandoned the child
of his own making and delivered the Tuit to yours truly, Paul Brown (Only because he could not find Terry Brigman!).
PROGRAM:
The first segment of our program featured the candidates for state representative for the 101st district. Democratic candidate, Mark Treaster, is a business owner, former teacher and farmer seeking the office. The Republican incumbent, Mary Kaufman, has a background in education, local political activity and seeks re-election.
The second program included Carlotta Ponds, Community Health Coalition Director, speaking on the subject of fluoridation. Adding fluoride to the public water system has been practiced since the 1950s. The purpose of fluoridation is to improve dental health. Many do not have adequate access to quality dental care.
An opposing view to fluoridation was offered by fellow AMBUC, Tony Powers. Tonys daughter is allergic to sodium fluoride which is the chemical added to the water. Calcium fluoride appears naturally in our water supply, but is not the chemical additive used for the fluoridation program.
To vote against fluoridation, you vote YES. To vote for fluoridation, you vote NO.
TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 2004 IS ELECTION DAY. Please inform yourselves regarding the candidates and issues; and vote. Exercise the privilege that we have as a nation of free people.
