Ambucs Weekly Meeting of Friday October 7, 2016

President Dorinda announces a Casino Night, October 15, 2016 at the Holy Cross Gymnasium. 6:00pm will be the set up time. This casino night is one of larger events so we need all the Ambuc dealers to participate.

Sergeants: Brewer and Conard had plenty of material to fill the toilet. Scott Cooley was late, Colby was also late and the nice sergeants got his lunch money, but it is unknown if that was actually what happened. Then there was a discussion about Jeff Robersons mind, we dont know if he had to pay for it, or he got paid for having one. Somebody in the club said that it feels good to put money in the toilet. Now then, thats exactly the beauty of our club. Kathy Hanks did not have her Ambuc pin and her badge, so she coughed up $1.27 and became penniless. Someone in the club found some loose screws on the floor and the search was on for that poor soul, but nobody claimed them. Ya, dont go there. Last but not least , Doug Foss golf cart is 1960 vintage, who knew?

Dave Suhler and Margo announced that they are moving to Colorado and their house is on the market. Most of their family is in Colorado.

Todays Program and Guest: Cathy Hanks introduced Greg Wamsley, Director of the Hutchinson Library. Mr. Wamsley provided a comprehensive account of improvements and activities in the Library, including, a media materials for Kindles and other devices. He discussed changes in the library and the impact of todays information age on society. Libraries are more than a building with a bunch of books. Rather the reader has many ways of taking news reports, books they want to read, and media materials. The Hutchinson Library is appealing to children with Legos and activities. In his closing remarks he suggested that when you return books and media to the library, be sure to take out your book marks, dollar bills, notes, bugs and pests, and printed media.
