When Sgt Knipp left 2 weeks ago he left us with the question “Where do our fines go?” Someone suggested Don Grossardt, which was not specific enough. They go to the National Foundation andAmtrykes. They did a pin check and rang out. New Member Installation: President Simmons conducted her first new member installation. Bob Tolar, accompanied by his sponsor Harley Macklin was sworn in as our first new member of the 2016/17 Ambuc year. Program: Ed Berger was born and raised on a family farm in Harvey County. He graduated from Halstead schools and has been in education all of his adult life, retiring as the President of HCC in 2014. His latest challenge is seeking to represent Kansans in theSenate District34. He sees himself as a “conservative with a heart”. He believes that it’s time for a change in Kansas leadership. The current fiscal policies have been in place for 3 years and have not accomplished what they were designed to do. H e believes that change can best come from the outside. He and wife Carol currently reside in Kingman County. Special Announcements: Robert Calhoun and his wife Rochelle along with other musical guests will present a tribute to our Veterans on Sunday, June 26th and the Countryside Baptist Church at 819 west 30th at 6:30 PM. Please keep Mark and Mary Treaster and familyin yours thoughts and prayers in the loss of Mary’s mother, Katriana “Kitty” Douthit, who passed away on June 10, 2016.
