Program: Jan Pauls is the current representative serving the 102nd Kansas Congressional District. She has chaired several powerful committies that control what bills reach the house floor. She has doubts about joint committee consensus and is convinced that a tax increase will be needed in the end. Although several questions tried to pin her down on which presidential candidate she might support. she refused to commit at this time. She reminded us that in 1982 Muhammid Ali visited Hutchinson thanks to the quick thinking of her husband Ron, who is a retired railroad employee and is very involved with the Kansas Retirees Organization. Jan is also responsible for saving the giant cottonwood tree on 96 Hwy that is known as the honking tree.
