Thad Bartley paid a presidential fine for being the vice president because the President Andrew was not in attendance. In the category of “The Best of Hutch” Dan Power and Darrin Wicks were the best investment brokers, Pat Fallon Best Banker, and Rebecca Hardenburger interior design, Congratulations to these Ambucs for their accomplishments. In the category of self-imposed fines, Guy loves to pay for not wearing his Ambucs badge, and last but not least Colby Davis was late for his shift at the Sweet Shop, and learned about the price of tardiness.
A number of announcements about club events and business was presented.
1. Paul Hardenburger reported on Sweet Shop sales.
2. Someone reported that Bob Bush is making good progress and looking at getting out of the hospital soon.
3. Dane Power presented the possibility of casino night on Feb 13, 2016, from 1a.m. to 2a.m. Hhhmmm that will require some discussion.
4. Jay Pitzer presented the possibility of a casino event on December 12, 2015 in Lyons, KS 2-3 hours, playing the games but not craps.
Mike Berglinger Superintendent of Buhler School District USD 313 reported on a number of points concerning activities and administration. It’s mission statement is “An exceptional educational experience of all.” Mr. Berglinger discussed bond issues tennis courts, football fields, grass vs artificial turf like HHC. Leading his district he supports nursing, welding, and at least one year of college education in order to be competitive in the work force. He noted that Colby Davis is in the category of positive world changers for his efforts in advocating for access side walks to the school. Special Skills for getting a job, choose a skill, show up for class, and put the phone away. The most needed workers are truck drivers that get good pay and stay out of poverty with a relationship with Circles of Hope.
