Program: One of the most important things Mayor Jade Pirosd’Cavalho has learned during her time onthe city council is the importance of being a good listener. Currently she is fielding lots of questions pertaining to orange cones. She indicated that the work on north Main Street should be completed, except for sidewalks, by fair time. She has always been active in the community, serving on the Boards of New Beginnings, the Cosmosphere, the Young Professionals, and the local Rotary Club. Her emphasis as mayor is to address the drug abuse problem in the community. Sheis in the process of establishing a task force to studythe effectof the local drug problem on work force development. The city needs to provide a solid and dependable work force to attract new business the community. She is open to volunteers from all areas and backgrounds.
