Nathan List is a 2011 graduate of Buhler High School. He was recently awarded National Ambuc Scholarship for $1,300, one of the largest approved for a first time applicant. He is currently pursuing a doctorate in Physical Therapy at the KU Medical Center in Kansas City. We appreciatedNathan sharing his accomplishments with us.Darren Wicks volunteered to provide numbers to help the membership to evaluate our various fund-raising projects from a funds raised to manpower required basis. He provided numbers on last year’s NJCAA Basketball tournament. He calculated that we netted $3,600 last year which amounted to $30.76 raised per man hour spent. With our membership standing at 52, down from around 65 last year, we need to look at member burn out possibilities. Our three majorfund raising activities are the Sweet Shoppe at the fair,Casino Nights, and the T-shirtsales all take significant manpower to run. He suggested a deadline of Sept 30th to decide which projects to continue. If did not receive a copy of Darren’s report, please contact him or pick one up at the next meeting. Give your feedback to President Parr or any board member.
