Sergeants Corner: Scott W and Steve C began by collecting the weekly presidential tax from President Andrew P. Then they fined Darren W for being late, although he tried several excuses. Then followed a pin check, after which they rang out.
From the President: Be sure to choose your committee preference when the sheet comes around. Every member is expected to be on at least one committee. If you don’t make a choice, he will assign you to one.
Program: Paul H brought us up to date on the Sweet Shoppe, followed by a demonstration of the new software package we will be using at this year’s fair. Our ice cream supplier has presented us with a 30% increase over last year, which has pushed us to find a new supplier for this. Currently we are working with Braums and Dillons. We make that decision soon. We are also looking at adding cupcakes to our line of specialty products. The new software we will be using is called When I Work. Each member should have received an email from Paul with instructions for registering on line. If you need help contact Paul at 620.474.0431 or Fred Conner at 620.728.1141. Please register ASAP and begin choosing your work slots. If every member signs up for 4 times slots we should have enough to have an even better fair then last year.
Drawings: The Lucky Aces drawing was won by Steve Conard. The figures are being verified by Treasurer Don, but he should be getting a check for over $600. It pays to invest in those tickets. The Newsletter drawing would have gone to Mark Treaster, but he left early. Next week’s amount will be $15. The question forFriday will be: What is the name of our new Sweet Shoppe software?
