Sweet Shoppe update

Dwight has been continuing on with small projects. If you need an extra key speak to Paul. Doyle has a picnic table for outside seating. Don will be conducting Square training. This weekend at the building the front awning and pikanik table are all that are really left. The ice cream will be delivered Monday between 7am and 8am and Square training, for managers, will immediately follow. We now have free waffle cone cards and Dwight is writing other peoples names on the cards.

What we do update

Doug’s wife had knee surgery and was at Pinnacle for physical therapy. A boy was there using an old AmTryke that Addy outgrew and passed on to the Pinnacle. This boy was on an AmTryke waiting list but was using this one to learn how to walk by the foot motion of the tricycle. Addy is now using a regular bicycle and walking.

Program

At the next Hutch High fundraiser he needs Colby to do it. Ryan moved from Liberal to Texas. He went to Fort Hays State on a track scholarship and started coaching in Wakeeney while he was still in college. He coached at Hays, revamped the program, and started them down a path to success before coming to Hutchinson. His son is in Central Christians preschool and his wife is a teacher at Graber. He has been asked why he would ever leave Hays and he says that it is because Hutchinson is a bigger deal. He revamped the program at Hays, because it needed to be, but Hutchinson is rolling along pretty well. They are starting to tweak the offensive playbook slowly and are teaching it to the middle and elementary school teams. This summer he spent most of his time trying to gain respect from the student athletes on the team. They had 17 practices, attended the HCC camp, he spent lots of time with them, and Ryan is trying to develop a culture in the high school that will produce better young people. They have 13 coaches on staff and he replaced 7 who went with the former coach.
