I think Sue was the only one or I didn’t keep good notes.

Sergeants Round Robin

Colby was excited at he was in charge of fines. That really doesn’t seem helpful Colby. Paul was fined for telling Colby he planned to “steal” all of his ticket money. When does the sheriff’s department speak again? I was fined for having a yellow car? Why not a white car or maybe a motorcycle. Jay called Colby, “Corey”. Jay, it’s COAL BEE. Harley and Steve’s whole table was fined for sitting together. Don’t do that again guys. Meet some new people. Darren said Colby is a nice person. He is, but was Darren fined for that? I don’t remember. Tom and I were fined for going through the line ahead of the Sergeant. I just didn’t want the food to get cold. We had a pin check and a few people don’t know how to put them on. Maybe we can have some lapel pinning lessons soon. One, why is your phone not on your hip? And two, why is the ringer not off Mr. President? Next we’ll catch you taking “selfies” at somber events. I don’t remember any other fines and no one felt fiscally free enough to buy one.

On September 4 we are having a 7am meeting at the Sweat, I mean Sweet, Shoppe.

Jay has a lot of old memorabilia from the old store.

September 3 at 4:30pm is the Ribbon Cutting.

Program

Sue Stecklein from the Kansas State Fair spoke this week. This will be her 10th fair. Her son-in-law does security and her husband used to be the security chief. They have 1165 commercial spaces. A lot of businesses she chooses can’t put themselves in front of Kansans without the fair. She always likes to add new or unusual food vendors. One fair visitor even has a “food” schedule. Visit Victory In the Valley while you are there. Hunter Hays is this years biggest artist. Red Dirt Country is a free concert this year.

Drawing

Jeff B bought the whole roll again and won the right to draw. That means maybe other people should buy more tickets or quit griping. 😉 He only got a fiver. Next week it will be $880.
