FAIR WARNING, Sergeant Brad announced that at the next meeting that all members better have their pins, badges, and cards on their person because they are going to check. Translation, dont be a whiner if you happen to forget.
TUIT REPORT, supposedly Jay Pitzer has the Tuit and we can trust that it is in good hands, although he has not given a report. Therefore we can assume that no news is good news.
MARK TREASTER announcement, he is selling his cleaning business and offered his thanks to members who are his customers.
SCOTT POTUCEK announcement, after thirty five years of working at Sonoco Scott Potucek is taking a position in safety and operations at Kansas Ethanol in Lyons Kansas.
JIM FLETCHER new member was sworn in by President Dane Power. Congratulations Jim and welcome to Hutchinson Ambucs.
JEFF ROBERSON presented his plans when he becomes president introducing his slate of officers: Andrew Parr 1st Vice President, Dorinda Simmons 2nd Vice President, Doug Foss Community Service Chairman, Randall Haltom Publicity Chairman, Dennis Reiser Secretary, Paul Hardenburger Ice Cream Chairman, and Don Grosshardt Treasurer. Official installation of new officers will take place in early June. Also Jeff and Dane reviewed some of the highlights of their Spring Training trip to the District convention in Oklahoma. After that the discussion turned to holding an Ambucs convention here in Hutchinson, however there are some concerns about the quality of the Ramada Convention Center.
DAN POWER announcement inviting guests and members to his house for a club mixer with beverages, food, and a tour of his hunting expeditions in Africa. Date Friday May 16th at 5:30 p.m.
DRAWINGS: The Lucky Aces Pot was won by Brad Thompson and he got $5. The winner each week will draw a card from a deck of cards. There is now $405 in the pot.
Rules of the Lucky Aces Pot – the Joker gets nothing, any card besides the Ace of Spades get $5. Ace of Spades wins the Lucky Aces pot according to what has accumulated in it. Dorinda Simmons won the Newsletter pot of $10 for knowing the names of the bankers who founded DCI. For $5 the Newsletter question for the meeting on May16th is, who will be arranging programs for the next Ambuc year?
