Sgt: Brad recruited his nephew Ryan, and they set out to save the world one dollar at a time. Dorinda paid for being on time. Larry was fined for not working at the booth with Brad. Pat, Doyle and Dennis were fined. Fred tried to fine Paul Hardenberger a dollar a pound for his newbaby. Judging by the look onPauls face, we could have gotten $100 from him, since the baby wasn’t his. Andrew Parr and new baby(actually his) are doing well.
Program: Since the quarter score cards only require 3 programs a month, we will begin having a business and social breakfast on the second Friday of each month after the Board Meeting. Todays program, Cassie Reiner with the Climate and Energy Project discussed the MOKAN Take Charge Challenge. The Climate and Energy Project started in 2007 and has an office here in Hutchinson. The challenge pits Hutchinson, KCK, Hays and Warrensburg, MO against each other in a quest to reduce energy usage through waste and excess management. The winning city receives $10,000 to spend on an energy efficient project of its choosing.
