Opening Ceremony: President Elect Jeff Roberson, having no bell to ring, called the meeting to order with great gusto. Doug Foss followed with prayer, thanking the Lord for another beautiful day while rain was beating on the roof of the metal building that houses Reins of Hope. Since Mr. Roberson failed to bring a flag (poor training by past president Darren Wicks), Dan Power used his cell phone flag app to dial up an American Flag to which we all pledged our allegiance.
Guests: Danette Chermak, who is an instructor with Reins of Hope, and in charge of todays program. Maurice Cummings and Don Kueck are board members of Tech and active in the Reins of Hope program. Jerry Rempe, from DCI, came as a board member of Reins of Hope.
Sergeants Playground: No sergeants no fines. Somebody needs to bring a guest next Friday or we all pay $1.
Announcements: The annual golf tournament will be on Friday, August 23rd at the Carey Park clubhouse. Breakfast will be served by Knackers. Cost to play will be $42 per golfer, which includes green fees and cart. The sign up sheet will be available at next Fridays meeting, or you can contact Guy Gann at 669-1230 or g_gann@yahoo.com.
Board of Directors Dont forget your meeting next Friday at 6:15AM at the Town Club.
Program: Danette Chermak told me before the meeting that she had a client coming in from Kingman to demonstrate a horse new to the program. With the rain and high waters, I think she and her parents chose to be smart and stay home. We did get to look at several of their horses, but any attempt to be heard from the arena was impossible. We had a good visit, a great meal, and we all wished we had brought our umbrellas like Reta Joy. I dont know of anyone who got stuck, but with the rain and construction, I think I got half-way to Great Bend before I figured out where I was and how to get back to Kuhn Krause. Only took 45 minutes to make a 15 minute trip.
Upcoming Program: Peter Miller, Director of the Hutchinson Municipal Airport.
Drawings: No tickets no drawings no newsletter question for the next meeting.
