Editor: Paul W. Brown

GUESTS: Randy Myers, Hutchinson Community College, guest of the club. Victor Curtis, guest of Jeff Roberson (and possibly our newest member). Paige Stringer, physical therapy graduate student at Wichita State, guest of the club. Terry Bisbee, guest of Harley Macklin.

SGT. REPORT: Sgt. Ward Davis and his little buddy Randall Haltom were collecting money for the good of the cause (as usual, the cause is not readily apparent). Fast Freddie Conner paid a welcome back tax. This editor paid for ignoring the Sgts. Pin checks were made on the entire club membership. Tim paid an absence tax. To show you some things NEVER change, Tony P. paid a fine by sliding a quarter out from under a saucer. Duke bought a fine on himself in the amount of $10.00 for sleeping in when he was supposed to conduct last Fridays meeting as Big Hat President!

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1. President Darren Wicks estimated our total sales to be approximately 500 T-shirts during the NJCAA tournament; that should translate into a more profitable year in 2013 than last year. Thank you to all AMBUCS who served.

2. The second Friday of the month is usually Board Meeting at 6:15 A.M.. Everyone call President Wicks to make sure!

3. Paige Stringer gave the club an update on her studies and training at Wichita State for physical therapy. She received a $500.00 national scholarship from AMBUCS. She asked for our support to sponsor her application for a second national scholarship. Consider it done.

PROGRAM: Randy Myers of Hutchinson Community College was our guest speaker for this morning. On behalf of HCC, Randy thanked the club for the scholarships Hutchinson AMBUCS provides to the college. HCC has more partnerships with businesses and organizations in the state than any other community college. 32.5% of HCC students are from Reno County. The school has 10,000 students enrolled for credit courses; and 5,000 students enrolled for non-credit courses. The programs offered at HCC are in all areas including: manufacturing, medicine, chemistry, biotechnology, technical fields and preparatory programs for four-year degrees. Hutchinson Community College is a tremendous asset for Hutchinson and Reno County!

50/50 Pot Winner: Tom Hymer-$11.00.

Newsletter Drawing: Doyle Ehling was not present. $20.00 next week.
