SERGEANTS: On duty today were Bush and Reiser. Rita Joy was late and felt the joy of helping kids by paying her fine. Doc Powers confessed to speeding as he was fined for being late. The sergeants wanted to fine Steinle and Haltom but they were absent. Many hapless Ambucs proceeded through the breakfast line in front of Sergeant Reiser, Conard, Rick Mitchell, Brown, Brewer, Macgirvin, Brad Thompson, Fallon, Knipp, Seitnater and Kristine. Wiehl was accused of lying, Davis had his picture in the newspaper, Treaster paid for leaving early. Sergeant Reiser fined everybody who did not help with the Casino event at Holy Cross. Sergeant Bush got a quarter from Tony Powers and then three more – Look out Chicken Little, the sky is falling! Janda decided to use her car to go deer hunting, Brown was offering free legal opinions, and President Mitchell violated Ambucs dress code all of which generated more revenue for the toilet. Can you say ka-ching with the word toilet when the normal word is flush?

ANNOUNCEMENT: Jay Pitzer announced that Casino night at Holy Cross produced $1000 and wanted to thank those members who participated in making the event successful.
ANNOUNCEMENT: There is a meeting for the ice cream committee on Friday November 4TH at 6:15AM prior to our weekly meeting at the Towne Club.
ANNOUNCEMENT: Ice Cream Chairman Jim Jacobs reported on this years Ice Cream sales. Compared to last year revenue was down $7,300 and net proceeds were $12,400 down substantially. Pending is the sales revenue from the left-over ice cream tubs.
ANNOUNCEMENT: Duke Wiggins gave a status report on the Head Start project. Big Hatters are looking at options to fulfill this years project, but $2,000 is needed. An effort is being made to obtain donated items.
ANNOUNCEMENT: Chairman Preston Clark reported that Community Service has a balance of $22,000 however most of that is committed to TECH leaving $2,500 for Amtrykesuntil May 2012.
PROGRAM: Todays program was Randy Mathews new Director of Hutchinson’s Historic Fox Theatre.He hasAmbuc roots as amember of the Salina Ambuc Bandits known to be a rowdy bunch.His interestin theatre arts led to the formation of a group to preserve the theatres in Emporia, Salina, and 30 other cities in Kansas. In Hutchinson the new marquee has been totally restored after being in service for over 80 years. A grant helped to fund this project. There was some discussion on the sound system in the Fox and the solutions are being sought. Films at the Fox continue to be the best buy in town. The Delos V.
