Womens Volleyball, Coach Sarah Myers is rebuilding team after the former coach left taking three players.
Womens Basketball, Coach John Ontjes has a very competitive team.
Mens Basketball, the team faces a game in Dodge City in a very difficult venue there on January 8th. A change in recruiting rules allows attracting six out-of-state players instead of five. This allows teams, for example Colby, to build more competitive teams.
Mens Football, Coach Rion Rhoades has success recruiting out of Georgia. Also they get referrals from K-State after they fill their roster.
Stange talked about funding for the athletic programs, a challenge of late with less contributions. In order to offset this deficit HCC now manages the concession stands using the revenue to balance the funding for the athletic department and to provide money for athletic scholarships.
Stange closed his program by taking questions on wrestling, soccer, and golf. He gave mention to Shaun Hill who played at HCC and is now quarterback for the Detroit Lions. He also advertised a fund raiser event, a Chile Feed in Barton County on February 5th.
