Announcements: REMEMBER WE ARE MEETING AT THE ICE CREAM BOOTH!! You will need to park outside the fairgrounds (Crescent Boulevard is probably the closest) and walk to the booth. You will not need a gate ticket until afternoon that day. You will receive gate tickets for the shifts you are working and we will cover any last details before going to breakfast at the Central Christian Schools booth in the Food Court.

The club board meeting will be moved to Friday, September 17th at 6:15 AM.

A Big Thank You to everyone who has volunteered to work at the fair booth. There were only 5 slots left to fill as of last Friday. Contact Fred Conner at H: 663-2769 or C: 727-4730 or by e-mail bfconner@cox.net if you have not yet signed up to work or can cover one of these vacant slots. If something comes up and you are not able to work you need to try to find a replacement to work your time. Then notify the booth with the information so that it can be noted on the schedule. The booth phone number (at this time) is 913-609-0819.

We will be unloading Ice Cream at the booth Monday, September 6th, Labor Day, around 7:00-7:30AM (or when the truck arrives).

Program: Guy Gann introduced Gene and Rhonda Elliott with Patriot Freedom Alliance. The PFA is a local Hutchinson area group formed following the Tea Party Movement in 2009. They are a Conservative, faith-based group whose efforts are to preserve our country and the constitutional rights set forth by our Founding Fathers. They do not and will not condone racism, violence, or any type of extremist views. They offer weekly meetings at the Grand Prairie with invited speakers. For more information visit their web site patriotfreedomalliance.org . “If ever a time should come when vain and aspiring men shall possess the highest seats in government, our country will stand in need of its experienced patriots to prevent its ruin.” –Samuel Adams, 1776.

50/50 Drawing: Doug Wyckoff, our newest member, won $35.

Newsletter Drawing: If Tom Hymer had not lost his head and blurted out the answer of Oil to this weeks question John Knipp would not have known What was Ben Blanchard, the founder of South Hutchinson, looking for when he accidently discovered salt? The purse increases to $50. You have two weeks and two questions to answer at our next meeting at the Town Club on September 17th. In the hit TV series Glee, what is the name of McKinley High Schools singing team New Directions number one competitor team? What is Pucks first name?
