Last year Jason spoke at our meeting asking for funds for his Eagle project to remodel the lunar base at the Kansas Cosmosphere. At that meeting we took up a donation of several hundred dollars towards this project. He constructed the lunar base with PVC pipe and fabric panels creating pods with connecting tunnels. Jason brought photos of the completed project which he spent more than 100 hours to complete. The total cost was around $750 with some extra funds raised going to the Cosmosphere for future upkeep of the lunar base. Jason thanked the club for assisting him with the project.

Margret Hamilton played Almira Gulch, the neighbor before playing the Wicked Witch of the West in Dorothys dream. She also pitched Maxwell House Coffee as spokesperson Cora. She also played Morticia Addams mother Hester (Granny) Frump in the Addams Family. This weeks question: What was Hutchinsons founder C.C. Hutchinson first and middle name and what other career did he hold before coming to Hutchinson to create a dry town?
