Last Meeting: July 9, 2010, President Rick Mitchell in charge.

Guests: None were present as well as no speakerread on.

Sergeants-At Arms: Larry Sloan and Scott Potucek levied this weeks fines. An unauthorized, but paid nevertheless, Birthday announcement for Steve Conard started the mornings folly. Ron Williams was fined for a radio interview without mention of AMBUCS. Doug Fosss fine exemption status with a new year and a smart-aleck comment turned into a $2 fine. Yours truly fined again (twice) for no newsletter link with last weeks e-mail announcement (oops) and name badges that need to be made and/or corrected (Im behind). Don Grossardt fined for a Jack Mace comment (sorry, I missed the gist of it). Brenda Janda fined for no birthday listed on her annual information sheet. She said that was correct (must have been a geriatric slip). Bill Long, Dan Power, Dane Power and Jim Seitnater also fined for missing information on their annual forms. Rick Mitchell fined for no agenda at this mornings Board Meeting. Doug Foss ratted out the Sergeants for not having put up the banners. He paid (again) as well as the two Sergeants paying. Dan Power paid to announce his first grandbaby from his daughter 7 lbs. and $7.

AMBUC of the Day: Kathleen Kennedy will be marrying member Geoffrey Tolbert in about a month. She grew up in Topeka with four brothers moving to South Dakota where she attended law school. She moved to Chicago for more law school and then moved to Manhattan for an under-graduate degree from K-State. After passing the bar in South Dakota to practice law she passed the bar in Kansas last February. They moved to Hutchinson when Jeff got a job with Morton Salt. Kathleen works with Attorney Tim Larsons office in Wichita.

AMBUC of the Day II: Jim Seitnater is Downtown Development Director for the City of Hutchinson. Jim returned to Hutchinson after previously working at other Kansas newspapers and The Hutchinson News. One son is a driver for United Parcel Service and the other works for Farmland in Kansas City. After working with the AMBUCS club for many years installing Christmas lighting downtown, he decided to join our club. Jim has secured many awards for Downtown Hutchinson during his tenure as Director.

TUIT: The TUIT was on vacation this week with Di Saunders and only she knows its whereabouts.

Program: Due to a program cancelation and no Plan B Darren Wicks was left holding the bag. The Sergeants helped Darren out by dragging out the morning activities. But did Darren pay??

Calendar: A T-Shirt inventory was to be held Saturday (7/10) at 8:00 AM to reconcile the inventory following the NJCAA Track & Field Event.

Special Thanks: to those who helped operate our booth at the Rod Run event last weekend and to Dean Brigman for returning the AMBUC trailer to Salina.

50/50 Drawing: Bill Long won $30.

Newsletter Drawing: Stan Macgirvin did not know the answer but supplied it after someone gave it to him. Last weeks question was: What building was replaced by the Wiley Building in 1912? Answer: The Opera House. The purse increases to $10. This weeks question: In the newest installment of the Twilight Saga: Eclipse, What two charms is Bella given by Jacob and Edward?
