TUIT REPORT

Eric Steinle finally made it back with the TUIT in hand and after carrying it for two weeks he had a few fines to levy.

For not asking he fined Larry Sloan, Steve Conard, Bob Bush, Paul Brown, Jeff Brewer, Cheryl Goodell,

Randall Haltom, Lori Hopp, Jay Pitzer, and Stan Macgirvin. There were several others that were not in attendance but they

made Bobs list. Tom Stanton caught Eric in court without the TUIT, so Eric had to pay too. Eric gave it

to Larry Sloan since he was the first person who failed to ask. Will you be first this week to forget?

PROGRAM:

Lori Hopp introduced Jerry Maxfield with the Reno County Sheriffs Department. Lori opened with a story about an encounter that she had had with a man who was being a bit too friendly and whose comments just didnt quite sit well with her. After a web check on KDOC.org KASPER site, she found he was listed there as a registered sex offender with quite a list of past infractions. Jerry finished the story by telling us that her information was not the first problem that this man had since coming to town. He had registered with the probation department upon arrival but these two infractions got him arrested and will probably get his parole revoked.

“It pays to be aware of what is happening around you”, said Jerry and when you think there might be problem contact authorities. Often times people tend to not get involved and the consequences can be devastating. Jerry gave a hand out on Crime Prevention for Business and Tips for Employers and Employees that gave very good information. He followed up with past stories of where being aware can make a difference.
