GUESTS

Mark Treaster – Rainbow International and representative-elect of the 101st District

John DeCesaro – Starkey, Inc. of Wichita

TUIT REPORT

Ron Soellner brought the Tuit to church and obtained funds for the AMBUC collection plate from Scott Saylor

and Duke Wiggins. Dave Suhler was also present, but avoided penalty by asking. During the week, Ron was

asked about the Tuit by both Paul Brown and Jay Pitzer. Larry Sloan received the pre-Thanksgiving turkey

and will possess it for the next two weeks. (Now just think, Larry, if it werent for Brad Thompson, you

could be enjoying your holiday without that additional chunk of metal!)

PROGRAM:

Starkey, Inc. representative, John DeCesaro, was our speaker on this date. The organization is a non-profit program for persons with developmental disabilities. It was started by Patty Starkey in 1930 with just two students. The primary facility is located at 4500 West Maple in Wichita.

Starkey, Inc. builds residential facilities for the use of its clients and provides vocational training as a part of the Passport to Opportunity program. Although the program receives some state and federal monies, Starkey raises revenue through their annual Charlie Daniels golf tournament and Starkey Spin bike ride.

FINES

Jeff Frizell and Randall Haltom filled in for the absent Sgt. at Arms, Bob Bush. These rookies forgot to ring themselves in! Brushing aside their inexperience, they proceeded to assess late fines to Eric Steinle and Brenda Janda. Scott Horton was fined for his clerical collar. Fred Connor was fined for a bad introduction of his guest. Lori Hopp was fined for arriving after her guest. Jason Jones was fined for being a fan of a really bad purple football team. Kent Harris was fined for drafting his entire family to do a paint job, then left! The pre-dawn AMBUCS were fined for failing to have lives. Tony Powers and Dan Power were fined for advertising without acknowledging AMBUCS. And finally, Vicki Fultz (bless her heart!) wanted everyone to know that she was paying $4.00 to satisfy her IOU.
