In Our Prayers: Publisher’s note Duke Wiggins experienced a mild heart attack at work on Friday and was taken to intensive care at Hutchinson Hospital. Between 5:00 and 6:00 PM (I believe), he experienced another, more serious one and was wheeled quickly to surgery. While on the operating table, a stent was placed, and more blockages were found. There were serious complications during surgery, requiring that further work be left for sometime the next week (the week of 9/13/04).

It was a frightening time for all concerned, but on Saturday evening, near the beginning of his time to be Manager at the Ice Cream Booth, he was feeling well enough to call the booth and let us know how he was feeling — and to make sure we were in good shape in his absence.

Let’s all keep Duke and Deb in our prayers this week, asking for a speedy and “complete” recovery.
