TUIT REPORT

If you havent seen Shawn Teichmann, hell probably be paying too much! Shawn,

WHY PAY MORE? Bring the Tuit back from its 2-week hiatus!

PROGRAM:

Larry Sloan introduced Glenn Jacobson of Thyssenng Construction/Canada. They are currently building the shaft for the Hutchinson Salt Museum and Underground Vaults & Storage near Ave. G and Airport Road. When completed, the shaft will be 12 feet in diameter and 650 feet deep. The shaft is lined with concrete one to two feet thick; and will take approximately a year to construct.

Blasting is the means used for removal of the soil and rock in the path of the shaft. According to Glenn, the largest shaft built by his company was 30 feet in diameter and took 2 years to complete for a gold mining company.

(Did an AMBUC really ask this question:

Do you bring the men out of the shaft when you blast?)

FINES REPORTED

Publisher’s note

Again there is no fines report, but we wanted to remind you of the results of our out-going Sergent at Arms’ surprise regarding those who wore AMBUC pins at the Friday, May 28 meeting. Brad asked for a show of hands of all who were wearing pins. He counted FIFTY AMBUCS who were wearing pins and donated ONE DOLLAR for each one he counted.

Good show, Brad!
