TUIT

Those fined for not asking Nathan Meyer about the TUIT were Bob Bush; Darren Wicks (paying in lieu of Dan Power); Pat Fallon, since Nathan had visited several Central Bank offices; and John Knipp, since Nathan had visited Peoples Bank.

Nathan gave the TUIT to the first person to make eye contact Preston Clark.

FINES

Jim Kicklighter with help from Bob Bush were Sgt.s-at-arms.

Jimbob started off by fining those members who are making money because of the cold weather, Brad Thompson and Larry Sloan. Jay Pitzer was fined for making Donna shovel the snow at home. He did buy her a new snow blower but I dont think he showed her how to use it.

Eric Steinle paid for being early for next weeks meeting and late to this weeks again. Preston Clark paid $2 for a prior IOU. Jeff Brewer paid for being bored of the Sgt.s (but he was really nodding off during the program). Jack Mace for being President of the new club within our club Geek Club (unfortunately hes also the only member thus far).

Jimbob then proceeded to raffle off a couple of coats from the closet and Mark Clark paid to save his. The other belonged to Jerry Dalton, which was returned to him without a fine since he hasnt joined yet. Since Brenda Janda wasnt here with her guest Jeff Brewer suggested fining the rank-and-file which was Ward Davis. Jeff was also fined for ratting the President out.

Scott Saylor was fined for winning such a large 50/50 pot last week, which was reduced by $1 to $29.

The Sgt.s then checked everyone for his or her membership card; no, not the breakfast invitation cards, but the real laminated membership card you get upon becoming a bonafide member of AMBUCS. I guess I better find mine, as I havent seen it in 20+ years.

Brad Thompson then commandeered the toilet and fined both Sgt.s for not getting here early enough to get out the American Flag, the banners, the toilet, the bell etc. Both paid!!

PROGRAM

Guy Gann introduced Cody Heitschmidt with LogicMaze Website Design & Small Business Marketing.

Codys wife Tamara, was working for Pipeline Testing when they asked her to build a web site for them. After she did she quit and started her own company. They now have 6 employees and are hiring their 7th this next week.

They began by doing web site design for other companies but now offer enhancements such as video, live chat, interactive sites and animation. They also offer graphic design services such as logo and print design. Interactive media PowerPoint presentations with video and animation is another service they offer. They are engaged in Internet marketing using search engine keywords, and banner ads to target the person who is looking for that particular product or service in their search.

Cody said he feels this is the best use of a persons advertising money. He said people are beginning to use the Google phonebook more than the white pages to find a telephone number.

Another service offered is search engine optimization. This is when your name comes up first in search. Being first is the key to more sales. They are now offering complete business marketing including design, media, print and web services as a total package.
