Program:
The membership welcomed fellow AMBUC, Chuck Peterson, who shared his experiences and photos from scuba diving.
The crystal clear waters of Cozumel provide 83 water temperatures and unequaled visibility at 60 to 80 foot depths. There are not sufficient descriptions for the colorful photos displayed on the screen. All types of underwater life were shown including groupers, barracudas, sharks, moray eels and coral.
Scuba diving includes the responsibility of not touching what you see and leaving only bubbles behind. Experience and training are still a must for anyone participating in this activity; remaining neutral in the water without arm movement, for example . Chuck displayed his various types of rigs, regulators and wetsuits used for scuba diving, labeling scuba diving a lazy mans sport.
If you are interested in training for scuba diving, he gives lessons at the Derby Recreation Center.
